1. Birla Mandir

The Chilkur Balaji Temple, located on the banks of the Osman Sagar Lake in Hyderabad, India, is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also famously known as the Visa Balaji Temple, because of the belief that it can help devotees to get their visas to any country easily.

4. Karmanghat Hanuman Temple
The Karmanghat Hanuman Temple is one of the oldest temples in Hyderabad. . The temple is situated at Karmanghat, in the midst of a busy market, and is a popular spot for devotees and tourists alike and is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who is also known as the ‘Lord of Strength and Courage’.
The deity is also called Dhyana Anjaneya Swamy as the Lord here is sitting peacefully and meditating.
The legend says that the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb tried to destroy this temple and was unable to do so. He heard a voice from the sky “Oh Rajan, Karo Man Ghat – (Oh King, make your heart strong)” Karo (Make) Man (Heart) Ghat (Strong) and that’s how this place got its name, Karmanghat.

5. Peddamma Thalli Temple
Peddamma Thalli Temple is a very beautiful and grand temple built in the Dravidian style of architecture and has a lot of intricate carvings. The temple has a high gopuram which is very impressive. The deity in Peddamma temple is dedicated to Goddess Peddamma, an incarnation of Goddess Laxmi, and the deity is seen sitting on a lion “Simhavasini”

6. Balkampet Yellamma Pochamma Temple
Balkampet Yellamma Pochamma Temple is one of the famous temples in Hyderabad, India. Located in the Balkampet area of Hyderabad, the Yellamma Pochamma Temple is dedicated to the goddess Yellamma and is believed to be one of the oldest temples in the city. Goddess Yellamma is believed to be an incarnation of Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva.

The temple complex has a huge Sankirtana Hall, where special functions are organized to accommodate large crowds on special days such as Janmastami, Ramanavami, and Nityananda Triyodashi.
The temple grounds are well-kept and expansive, boasting a picturesque park filled with kadamb trees.
The temple provides free lunch to its devotees everyday from 12.30 PM onwards through Nitya Annadana Seva. This temple is the first golden temple constructed in the state of Telangana.
13. Sanghi Temple
The Sanghi Temple can be found in Sanghi Nagar, located behind Ramoji Film City. It is situated atop the Paramanand Giri Hills, just 35 km from Hyderabad.
This temple has been constructed in the Cholla Chalukya style of Architecture. The temple was erected in 1991 and took about 18 months to finish.
The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Venkateshwara. The idol inside the sanctum is 9 feet tall and is same as the idol at Tirumala. In addition to the main shrine there are shrines of Goddess Padmavathi, Goddess Ashta Laxmi, Lord Rama, Lord Ganapathi, Lord Shiva, Lord Karthikeya, and Goddess Durga
14. Ashtalakshmi Temple
The Shri Ashta Lakshmi Temple is similar in design and architecture to the Ashtalakshmi Temple in Chennai. It is one of the few temples in India that has eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi installed inside. These are Adilakshmi, Aishwaryalakshmi, Santanalakshmi, Dhanalakshmi, Dhanyalakshmi, Gajalakshmi, Vijayalakshmi, and Varalakshmi.
These eight idols are adorned with gold and kasula Peru necklaces, as well as other jewellery. These idols draw awe from visitors coming to this temple and the intricate carvings on the temple gopuram are a sight to behold.
It took five years of hard work and a total cost of Rs 1 crore to build this magnificent temple.
15. Kachiguda Mahankali Temple
Goddess Kali is the main deity worshipped at Kachiguda Mahakali Temple. 16. Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple, Skandagiri
Sri Subrahmanyaswamy temple is considered a very powerful temple, located on the hillock of Skandagiri in Padmarao Nagar and was built in 1968. It is home to Sri Subrahmanyaswamy, the Presiding Deity as well as other deities like Sri Sundara Vinayagar, Sri Ekambareswarar, Sri Kamakshi Amma, Sri Jaya Durga.
This temple also has a dedicated Anjaneyar temple as well as an Adi Sankara Sannidanam. Furthermore, a Marriage function hall has also been provided for the convenience of the public. 17. Ujjaini Mahankali Temple
Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad is a renowned and an ancient temple with over 175 years of history and venerates the powerful Goddess Mahankali. Everyday, many devotees throng this temple to offer their prayers, becoming particularly crowded during festivities such as Bonalu and Ashada Jathara. 18. Gandi Maisamma Temple
Maisigandi Maisamma Temple, located in the small village of Maisigandi along the Srisailam Hyderabad highway, is a beautiful and rapidly developing temple of Goddess Mahakali in Telangana. Its 20-foot tall idol and huge, open-topped Gopuram are reflective of the cultural and mythological sentiments of the local Banjara people who were traditionally a nomadic tribe. Legend has it that the presiding deity of the temple requires the temple to be open at the top.
The priests of this temple hail from the Banjara or Lambada caste. This temple is a must visit for devotees who believe in Goddess Mahankali.
19. Katta Maisamma Temple
Katta Maisamma Temple, situated on Lower Tank Bund road near Indira Park, is a significant temple in Hyderabad. This temple is renowned for its religious and spiritual significance in the city.
The deity in this Katta Maisamma Temple is Mother Goddess Maisamma, an embodiment of Shakti or strength. By worshipping the Goddess at this Temple, devotees believe they can gain power to confront the difficulties and obstacles they may face in life.

20. Sri Ranganatha Temple
This 400-year-old Vaishnavite temple, known as Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha – a form of the Hindu deity Vishnu. This ancienct temple is located at Jiyaguda in Hyderabad
Located on the banks of the Musi River, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple was constructed by the Nanganur Prathama Peetham and is currently managed by the Telangana state’s Endowments Department.
The main temple contains an idol of Lord Ranganatha, a manifestation of Loord Vishnu, reclining on a serpent bed.This temple also has shrines for Goddess Ranganayaki (an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi), Lord Hanuman, Andal and Garuda.
21. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
The Yadagirigutta Temple, also known as the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, is a Hindu sanctuary situated on a hill in Yadagirigutta, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana. This Hindu temple’s deity is Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The temple has been fully renovated, and the new temple complex is huge. A convenient parking lot is available, and complimentary buses are provided to take visitors to the top of the hill, where the temple is situated.
However at this point of time the temple is not too conducive for elderly people and physically challenged people. Access to the temple is quite difficult for them.
Tip: It is advisable to park your car at the bottom of the hill and there are free buses available to take you up the hill. The parking fees at the bottom of the hill is Rs 50.00 If you would like to take your car to the top of the hill then the parking fees is Rs 500.00 which is quite exorbitant.
