About Sudha Cars Museum:
Sudha Cars Museum in Hyderabad is an automobile museum that has a fascinating showcase of cars that are made to look like everyday objects.
This one-of-a-kind museum is dedicated to vintage and creative handmade cars, offering an intriguing and unique experience.
These handmade cars were crafted by Kanyaboyina Sudhakar who started this as a pastime during his school days; eventually leading him to open a museum dedicated to them in 2010. K Sudhakar had an affinity for motor vehicles and mechanics from a young age. At 14, he assembled his first car from parts found in scrapyards.
In 2005, he made it into the Guinness World Records for making and riding the largest tricycle. The tricycle had an impressive overall height of 41.6 feet.
Sudhakar Cars museum has been recognized by both the Limca Book of Records and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
At the museum, each exhibit is accompanied by a plaque containing information such as the make of the car, the time taken to build it, and the maximum speed it can reach. The museum is home to the smallest double-decker bus in the world, which can seat up to 10 people.
The museum also has twelve miniature-sized motorcycles, the shortest being 13 inches tall and capable of reaching speeds of 30 kilometers per hour. He also crafted India’s tiniest train with a capacity of 10 seats, measuring 19 feet in length. This remarkable feat was achieved within 20 days.
Sudhakar has created cars for special occasions. On Women’s Day, he designed a vehicle that looks like a handbag and stiletto and fitted it with a 6cc engine.
On 14th November, commemorated as Children’s Day, he created cars shaped like a pen, a pencil, and a sharpener. To mark World AIDS Day, a vehicle fashioned in the shape of a condom was revealed. There is even a car in the shape of Corona Virus.
You can find cars in different shapes like a football, cricket bat, cake, Shiva lingam, insects, a snooker table, lipstick, and a wedding dress.
The cost of manufacturing these handmade cars is approximately ₹85,000–₹150,000. However, these cars are not available for purchase. The vehicles are frequently taken out of the museum for exhibitions where people can view them being operated.
With its incredible collection of cars designed to look different, interactive displays, and unique experiences, this museum is an absolute must-see for anyone looking to explore the city.
