1. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park

Kasu Brahamananda Reddy National Park also known as KBR Park is located in the heart of Hyderabad – Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. The park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and is a great lung space for people living here. The park is excellent for walkers and Joggers alike. There are many open gyms for people to use both inside KBR and in the outer section of KBR  Park.

You can see many Peacocks, butterflies and small animals like rabbits, porcupines etc.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed inside the park. So if you would like to go for a walk with your pet then you will have to go on the outer walkway.

You can find a farmers’ market right outside KBR Park which is popular with locals and non-locals alike. It is usually held every morning and often has a wide variety of stalls selling everything from fruit to vegetables to healthy juices.

Timing

5 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm

Ticket Price

The ticket price is Rs. 40 for adults and Rs. 25 for children

NTR Gardens is a public park located in near the Secretariat. The park is spread over an area of 36 acres and is named after N. T. Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The park has a lake, an amphitheatre, a children’s train, a waterfall, and a number of food stalls. The gardens are well-maintained and are a great place to relax and unwind.

The beautifully landscaped gardens are an oasis in the city and offer a respite from the heat and bustle of daily life.

Open from 9 am to 9 pm.

The recently opened Gandipet Park, situated along Osman Sagar is another added attraction to the bustling metropolis of Hyderabad. It has pathways for walking, well-manicured lawns, gazebos, and an open-air amphitheatre with 1200 seats where cultural events can be organised. Also provided is the attractive night illumination.

Many more attractions like the bird park, Butterfly Park, and an aquarium are still in the developing stage.

10. Malkam Cheruvu Park

This park is on the old Mumbai highway in the Raidurg area. The park was developed along the lake which was recently restored. It is spread over 50 acres and is now a great tourist attraction. There are walkways and cycling tracks, an open gym for fitness enthusiasts. You can also find a children’s play area, an amphitheatre, a view deck, and Boulder Park in the rock conservation zone.

The park with its beautiful landscape can be added to your list of places to visit.

Open from 5 am to 8.30 am and 4 pm to 8 pm.

Kidwai Garden is located in Rajendra Nagar and mostly popular among people who are living in the nearby vicinity. This beautiful park has many varieties of flowers and trees. The garden also has a play area with swings and some rides for children. The park is usually crowded on the weekends and on holidays and the park is open from 7. 3 am to 8.30 pm.

14. D G S Melkote Park

D.G.S Melkote park spread over 7 acres is located in Narayanguda and is excellent for people to walk, jog or just relax.  Children have a play area, small slides and also there is a small area for children who would like to skate. There is also a small area to play badminton for people who are interested.

It is open from 5 am to 9 am in the morning and from 3 pm to 9 pm in the evening.

15. K L N Yadav Park

This park located in Sanath Nagar, is named after the former minister of Andhra Pradesh K L N Yadav and you can find a statue also erected inside the park. The park is lined with huge trees which is interspersed with bamboo trees along the pond. The park has a few swings for children and beautiful walkways and gazebos overlooking the pond.

This park is open from 5 am to 8 pm.
