The Thrill of Cycling at Pala Pitta Cycling Park in Hyderabad
Pala Pitta Cycling Park in Hyderabad is the perfect destination for cycling enthusiasts. This park is located opposite Botanical Garden, Kothaguda. Pala Pitta Cycling Park is an incredible urban green space, created to provide both locals and visitors with the benefits of cycling.
Palapitta Cycling Park, an initiative of Telangana State Forest Development Corporation Ltd. (TSFDC), offers cycling experiences that are safe, healthy, and fun to both locals and visitors. The park, a first of its kind in India, features a 3 KM cycling track situated in a beautiful urban forest.
Visitors and members have the option to either bring their own cycle or rent one in the park. Numerous cycling amenities are offered to enrich the cycling experience in the park.
This park is open to the public every morning from 6 am to 10 am and in the evening from 4 pm to 6:30 pm. Visitors can purchase either a single-day pass or a monthly subscription at the park, on the website www.palapitta.org, or through the PPCP mobile app. The App is available on Google Play Store.
At Pala Pitta Cycling Park, you can rent bicycles at ₹50 an hour and take a ride around the 3 km fenced-in forest track. The trail is composed of a blend of sand, gravel, and mud and is ideal for mountain bikes and the rental shop has those bikes in abundance. The shop offers bikes for women, as well as smaller bikes for children too.
It is best to go to the park early in the morning when it is cooler. The park is only for cycling, and no walking is allowed on the cycle track. The park also has a variety of amenities, including washrooms and benches for resting.
The terrain is mostly flat, but there are some small hills to test your cycling skills. The track also has some curves, which can make the ride a bit more challenging. And you may be fortunate enough to witness peacocks meandering through the forest.
