About Necklace Road:
The Necklace Road which is now known as the PV Narasimha Rao Marg, formerly known as Necklace Road, is a boulevard located in Hyderabad, Telangana, adjacent to Hussain Sagar lake. this road links NTR Gardens to Sanjeevaiah Park and is named after the iconic Queen’s Necklace on Marine Drive in Mumbai.
The Hussain Sagar lake is a great place to relax and just take in the beauty of the city. You can take a boat ride to explore the lake, or just take a romantic stroll and watch the sunset. There are also plenty of activities for children and families, such as boat rides, kite flying, and even a water park – the Jalavihar.

The major attraction on Necklace Road is the Glorious Buddha Statue in the middle of Hussain Sagar Lake. Standing tall on Gibraltar Rock in the midst of Hussain Sagar is the world’s highest monolith of Lord Gautama Buddha which is 58 feet tall ad weighs 350 tons. A platform of 15 feet made of concrete, called the “Rock of Gibraltar”, was built in the centre of Hussain Sagar lake to help put up the statue.
Apart from this statue, Necklace Road also boasts several other attractions, like Lumbini Park, NTR Gardens, Jalavihar, Sanjeevaiah Park, the Dog Park, 34 bronze statues of eminent personalities on Tank Bund Road, the Tomb of Saidani Maa, an M47 Patton Tank opposite Marriot Hotel.
Things to see and do on Necklace Road:

The Lumbini Park is a 7-acre park on the banks of Hussain Sagar, Necklace Road, and has boating facilities and musical fountains. This large and beautiful park was established to commemorate the life of Buddha and foster peace and harmony.

NTR Gardens are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hyderabad. The gardens are spread over an area of 36 acres and are home to a wide variety of plants and trees. The gardens also have a number of fountains and landscaped lawns and walkways, which make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature

Jalavihar is a waterpark park on Necklace Road offering a plethora of exciting rides, thrilling water slides, and a wide variety of food outlets to explore. From adrenaline-pumping rides to leisurely strolls, Jalavihar is the perfect destination for all kinds of visitors.

Sanjeevaiah Park spans an area of about 92 acres and is dotted with lush greenery and trees. It is a perfect place for a stroll with friends or family, or even to enjoy some solitude in the lap of nature. The park is also home to approximately 100 species of birds, both resident and migratory, as well as over 50 species of insects and butterflies.

There is a Dog Park on Necklace Road next to P V Narasimha Rao Gyaan Bhoomi which exists as a space for owners and their four-legged friends to spend quality time together and enjoy the outdoors. This park covers a few yards and provides a public space for dogs to roam and play.

The Tomb of Saidani Maa is a tomb located at the entrance of Tank Bund from Secunderabad’s side. This is the tomb built by Nawab Abdul Haq Diler Jung for his mother Hazrath Saidani Ma Saheba. The tomb has been built in Mughal and Qutb Shahi style with elaborate stucco decorations and jali screens.

There is an M47 Patton Tank opposite Marriot Hotel which was captured from Pakistan during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. This tank was donated to the city of Hyderabad by the 54th Infantry Division and definitely worth a look.
