The Serene Beauty of Mrugavani National Park is seen to be believed

Mrugavani National Park, located in Chilkur in Moinabad mandal in Hyderabad, is a paradise for nature lovers and ornithologists. Spanning an area of 3.6km², this national park is a safe haven for a variety of flora and fauna.
This 1200-acre National Park is about 25 kms from the city and boasts of an impressive array of 600 different types of plant life, as well as around 350 spotted deer. Other animals inhabiting the area include Indian hare, forest cat, civet, Indian rat snake, Russell’s viper, chital, and flowerpecker.
The Mrugavani National Park was established in 1994 and is managed by the Telangana Forest Department. The park provides a great opportunity to spot more than 100 species of birds such as flowerpeckers, lapwings, peacocks, and warblers. There are also a number of reptiles including monitor lizards, cobras, and Russell’s vipers.
Mrugavani National Park is characterized by rocky formations specific to the Deccan Plateau and tropical vegetation such as dry forest, grasslands, shrubs, and herbs with trees like Teak, Sandalwood, and Bamboo.
The park offers a number of activities such as nature walk with authorized guides, bird watching, and safari rides into the park. The park also has a nature interpretation center where visitors can learn about the local ecology and the park’s flora and fauna. The park also houses a museum, an auditorium, and a library.
This National Park’s terrain comprises of woodlands, grasslands, and rocky areas. The majority of the vegetation is classified as southern tropical dry deciduous forests.
This park plays an important role in preserving the native vegetation of the Hyderabad area, which is in danger of disappearing.

Visitors to Mrugavani National Park may plan their stay near Chilkur with a range of accommodation options available, such as resorts, tents, cottages, and dormitories. Furthermore, there are small restaurants close by, so visitors need not worry about food and drinks.
If you have a religious inclination then visit the famous Chilkur Balaji Temple which is close by. This temple is also known as Visa Balaji Temple because it is said that people who desire a visa can go and pray there and the visa would be granted.

Ocean park is about 5 kms from this National Park.
