Krishna Kanth Park is located in close proximity to Yousufguda, is a major city park, covering an area of 22 acres. It is managed by the Central Zone of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. This park was named after Krishna Kanth, former Vice-president of India and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and he laid the foundation stone of the park himself.

Visit Krishna Kanth Park for your running needs! The park is open daily from 5 am to 9 pm. There is an entry fee of Rs 25 for adults and Rs 10 for children, but if you arrive between 6 am and 8 am, admission is free. Senior citizens may enter without any charge.

The park contains play areas designed to keep children entertained for hours. Meanwhile, there are benches and gazebos scattered throughout the park, providing a perfect spot to relax with a book.

If you’re a fan of sketching then settle down under one of those trees with an expansive canopy and get creative. At the park, a small lake can be seen, blooming during the rainy season. However, it is not so well maintained you can see water hyacinth and it tends to stink at times.

The park boasts an open-air gym with manual equipment such as cross trainers, elliptical trainers, and twisters. There is also an inclined bench press and more, making it an ideal spot for those beginning their fitness journey or looking for an affordable workout. The park attracts many members from various clubs, including Yoga, fitness, sketching, and laughing clubs, and offers the opportunity to join them.

Vendors often are seen near the gate in the morning, offering fresh beetroot and carrot juices as a healthy option for walkers and runners.

Word of caution:

It is said that park has become a romantic destination for couples and a place for unruly behaviour by antisocial individuals.. During the evening hours, women and families are wary of coming here due to the presence of harassers. It is also said that the toilets in the park are not functioning and there is no drinking water foul smell from the sewerage canal passing through.
